Should I upload my photo and what is cropping?

It is recommended that you upload one. A photo may increase your credibility and chances of getting an assignment. Although we do not have any statistics on hand, we do notice that tutors with photos get requested more often.

If your photo is too large or contains undesired features such as other people's faces, you need to crop your photo. Cropping means selecting (or cutting out) the part of the photo you want.

You can use the built-in photo cropper to select only the part of the photo you want. If you encounter any problem with the photo cropper or the upload process, please contact us. You can also use photo editing programs like Adobe Photoshop or the freely available GIMP to edit/crop your photo before uploading.

You can go to My Profile > Photo Section to upload and crop your photo.

After you have cropped your photo, it will be resized to a standard size of 133 x 171 pixels. The ratio is same as that of a passport-sized photo.
