Help for Customers

Welcome to TuitionC. This page is a guide for parents and students looking for a tutor. The entire process is split into 4 simple parts for easy understanding and reference. Should you have any doubts or enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Part 1: Search for Tutors

You arrive at TuitionC.com

You arrive at TuitionC.com. You can either start searching for tutors on your own or request for a list of recommended tutors from our coordinator.

  1. If you wish to search for tutors on your own, you may do so using our search engine.

While searching, you can create your own preferred list of tutors by taking note of their Tutor IDs.

Next, you can submit the list to us by registering online or calling us.

  2. Alternatively, if you wish to save the time and effort, you can request for a list of recommended tutors from our coordinator instead of searching on your own.

Finally, please move on to part 2 to find out more on registration.

Part 2: Make a Request

You can register online
You have the choice of making a request by phone or registering online:
  1. You can call our service hotline 9800-5461 to talk to a coordinator. Please understand that due to a potentially high volume of calls, you may not be able to get through on the first call sometimes. In such an event, please try calling again at a later time. We hereby apologise for any inconvenience caused.

  2. An alternative is to register online, which is much easier since you do not have to recite your particulars over the phone.

A coordinator will be assigned to you

The coordinator assigned to you will start searching for tutors and contacting them for their rates and schedule.

Tutors can also express their interest in your request by using our request map.

Meanwhile, you can track the status of your request and view a list of interested tutors. Please understand that it may take up to a few hours before the list will be made available.

You can access the My Request List feature from our home page.

Coordinators will search for and contact tutors
for their rates and schedule

The coordinator will email you a list of recommended tutors. If your email address is not given, we will contact you by phone.

We will email you a list of suitable tutors when we have gathered enough responses. If your email address is not given, we will contact you by phone instead. It is recommended that you provide your email address so that we can efficiently communicate to you the list of suitable tutors.

The email contains the tutors' rates and schedules and links to their online profile which you can make use of to decide who to hire.

After reviewing the list, you can request for another one or start to shortlist potential candidates.

Choose a tutor from the list.

You can request for a phone interview with any of the tutor from the list. Simply inform our coordinator if you wish to do so.

During that interview, you can assess the tutor's qualifications and experience by asking relevant questions.

When you have finally selected a tutor to hire, you can indicate to us the date and time of the first lesson and we will arrange it for you.

If the chosen tutor has sent us digital copies of his certificates, we will email you links to view their certificates online so that you can verify the tutor's qualifications.

Part 3: First Lesson

First lesson begins

After the first lesson, you can call up the coordinator assigned to you to inform him/her whether or not you decide to continue hiring the tutor.

If you wish to change the tutor, you can ask our coordinator for advice, or start from part 1 or 2 again. Note that changing a tutor will not incur any extra charges.

If you cannot make a decision after the first lesson, you can continue for a few more lessons. Note that you only need to pay for the number of hours of lessons attended.

Kindly note that while the first lesson is a trial, you still need to pay for this trial lesson.

Choose to have invoice sent by postal mail

At the end of the first two weeks, TuitionC will collect from you 50% of the first month's fees as commission for referring a student to the tutor. The other 50% is paid to the tutor at the end of the first month.

Commission applies only for the first month. For subsequent months, all fees will go directly to the tutor.

The coordinator will ask you whether you want to have the invoice sent by email or postal mail. Note that you do not have to pay for the postage fee.

All payment details and instructions will be included in the invoice. Please check carefully the total number of hours of lessons and the amount to pay. Also, please take note of the bill number and our bank account number. If you notice any errors or you have any doubts, please contact us immediately.

After we have received your payment, we will inform you either by email or phone.

Payment can be made using ATM Fund Transfer,
Internet Banking or crossed cheque.
