Is there a need to give homework; if yes, how much? Buy assessment books?
During the tuition lesson
- Warm up to your student by asking about his school, and how he is coping with the subjects
- Set one or more academic goals with your student. But be realistic!
- Be calm and enjoy the teaching experience!
After the tuition lesson
- Gather feedback from your student. Ask him whether he is able to absorb what you have taught.
